Communications & Content Manager (Part-Time)

Location: Riccall, York, North Yorkshire (hybrid and flexible options available)
Salary: £14,500 per annum (Equivalent to £29,000 full-time)
Hours: Part-time, 2.5 days a week (0.5 FTE), with growth potential

We’re seeking a proactive and ambitious Communications & Content Manager to join our small but mighty team. This is a unique opportunity to directly impact vital charitable causes through compelling social media, engaging content, and strategic communication.

You’ll be a hands-on social media expert, creating captivating multi-media content and managing channels to achieve fantastic results for our clients. Beyond day-to-day execution, you’ll have the chance to grow into more strategic work, assisting with communication strategies and supporting funding bids for marketing efforts. You’ll work closely with the business manager and a network of talented freelancers, driving efficiency and pushing for the best outcomes. As we grow, so will your role, with opportunities for increased hours, responsibility, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead creation of engaging social media content (copy, basic graphics, simple video
    editing) and manage platforms for charity clients.
  • Plan, schedule, and optimise social media campaigns to achieve client objectives.
  • Build strong client relationships, understanding their needs and communicating
    results.
  • Assist with drafting client communication strategies and contribute to funding bids for
    marketing support.
  • Track, analyse, and report on social media performance.
  • Proactively seek ways to streamline processes and maximise impact.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience managing social media channels, creating engaging multi-media
    content including video, and delivering measurable results (e.g. follower growth).
  • An aptitude and eagerness to learn and contribute to broader communication
    strategies and funding proposals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable interacting directly
    with clients.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented; you spot opportunities and propose solutions.
  • Collaborative team player, ready to contribute to a supportive, growth-oriented
    environment.
  • Genuine interest in supporting charities and non-profits.
